On Monday, March 2, 2026, the Smart-EDU Hub within the Faculty of Public Administration together with the Embassy of Japan in Romania, will host Atsushi Deguchi, Professor at the University of Tokyo, for a public lecture on Society 5.0 and digital transformation. The event is organized at the initiative of the Smart EDU-Hub. Prof. Atsushi Deguchi teaches at the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences at the University of Tokyo, where he also serves as Vice-Dean. His primary expertise lies in urban planning and social systems design, and he is recognized as one of the architects of the Society 5.0 concept in Japan. His research explores the intersection between physical and digital spaces (cyber-physical systems), with particular emphasis on smart city development and on how emerging technologies are reshaping administrative and social structures. |
